Ok, so i've choose my first set of parts to build my first gaming PC and they are as follows

AMD FX-6300
ASUS GTX 760
8GB RAM 1600MHz
1TB 7,200RPM HDD
650W PSU
Case
MSI 970A Motherboard

So my question is, can this handle games like BF4?(Doesn't have to max them, maybe medium/high on 60+FPS) Also, am I forgetting any crucial parts? Thanks in advance for any replies, they are all appreciated.

If he wants to spend less i think he should then grab the 280, its still better than the 760. If he is ok spending the same money he was planning on, grabbing the 280x is the best option

Eh, a 280 isn't really better than a 760. If the OP has the money to buy a 280x, sure that's definitely the better card. But that again depends on the budget.

You link a page that where the 280 is always on top than the 760, yes, not by much, but its still more fps for your money.

An absolutist eh?

3 FPS will not matter. You will not be able to tell the difference between the two cards.

Good point on the motherboard.

And again, no the 280 is not leaps and bounds better than a 760. Minimal to zero performance difference. You cannot tell the difference between 3 FPS.

If you had posted any other Youtube video I would have blasted you because of how useless Youtube videos are. JaytwoCents is not a bad reviewer.

If you watched the video you would see the value is a lot better, also if you look at things such as monitor or crossfire upgrades in the future when or if they choose to change to another chip and motherboard they won't be limited to 2gb of vram

Alright, thank you all for your input, greatly appreciated. I am now going to look into a new motherboard and I would also like to know, which card is better? The Radeon HD 7970 or the 280?

I did watch it. And again, apart from the different size RAM, there is no difference in value between the two.

@aphillips

Either one of the GPU's we've been arguing about will do fine.

The 7970 is practically the same as the 280x, and the 7950 as the 280.
