I'm Windows XP(will upgrade to Windows 7 soon)

....Can I run Mass Effect 2 at atleast 1280 res? and with wat detail setting? no AA or AF required here

I run Crysis almost all high except objects,game effects,particles and postprocessing which are medium with sunshafts on...silky smooth performance with some split second stuttering here and there

all help is highly appreciated!

These are the RECOMMENDED requirements for mass effect 2 :

* Windows XP SP3 / Windows Vista SP1 / Windows 7
* 2.6+ GHz Cure 2 Duo Intel or equivalent AMD CPU
* 2 GB RAM
* ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT, or better recommended
* 100% DirectX compatible sound card and drivers
* DirectX August 2008

Your system meets the requirements and you're playing at only 1280X1024.
That's why I said it will max out the game.

I have a very similar PC but haven't tried ME2(No money🙁 )

Your processor is comparable to that 3Ghz dual core.
If you experience some lag(Which, i don't think you'll experience ) then OC your CPU a bit. OC upto 3Ghz won't need any effort!!

But my Intel Dg31PR won't let me OC my processor.

Mass Effect 2 runs smooth as butter maxed out at 1920x1200 on my 4 year old dual core:
4200+ Dual Core (2.2 GHz)
2 GB RAM
GTX 260

Your processor won't be a bottleneck.

OMG nice! I'll just buy it then

hey guyz, I just installed and played Mass Effect 2, for like 3 days...its an AWESOME game!!! and it performs silky smooth in 1280x1024 in max details except anisotropic!!!

That's nice.
Doesn't makes a difference.
