[SOLVED] Can I run my PC without integrated and without dedicated graphics?

I was wandering if there is any way to run my PC without integrated or dedicated graphics. Right now my PC is booting, but it's only showing a black screen. Nothing else.


PC Specifications: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB 3600MHz (2x8GB)
MO/BO: Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming
GPU: -----

Short answer is no. I highly doubt it's booting. It might be showing signs of life but without a GPU it will not complete post(post occurs before boot) and will not be usable. A gpu is required.

Your GPU link goes to a motherboard not a GPU.

Also what monitor are you using and what ports/cable connection are you using between PC and monitor?

Try another known working video cable(s) and other available video ports.

I am using an LG 25UM58-P Ultrawide 1440p monitor and I'm using an HDMI port.

LG Monitor has only 2 HDMI ports - correct?

And you are connecting:

PC [Motherboard HDMI port] ----- HDMI cable -----> [HDMI port] LG Monitor

Check that the LG monitor is configured for the HDMI port being used to connect the PC. Menu item.

Do you have another known working HDMI cable?

Are you able to try another HDMI monitor or even a TV?

I'm pretty sure the OP has no gpu yet, and since the 2700x has no igpu the ports on the motherboard are non functional.

I agree with you. I grabbed another HDMI cable and connected the PC with my TV, but again, there was no signal, only a black screen.

You MUST have either integrated, like with the Athlon 200GE/220GE/240GE/3000g, or with the Ryzen 2200g/2400g/3200g/3400g, or a discrete video card. There is simply no other possible way.

I stand corrected - I looked at just the motherboard's ports.

What I found with respect to the 2700X...

"The 2700X doesn't have integrated graphics. The only Ryzen CPUs that do are the Ryzen 3 2200G and the Ryzen 5 2400G. "

I would point out a possible problem you have. 2700x and b350 motherboard likely aren't going to work together without a BIOS revision to the motherboard.
