can i run 2 HDD, 1 gpu (g210 or hd 7770OC) a Q9450, a fan and a cd read/writer

and will a ATX psu fit in a inpiron 545 case?

Solution
Yes, you can definitely run all of that off of a 400W PSU. Please don't get the geforce g210. Get the Radeon HD7770 instead if you're only deciding between those two graphics cards.

I did a quick google search of that particular model and it looks like it is a regularly shaped mid-tower case, which means an ATX (regual) PSU should fit.

The HD 7770 requires a 6-pin PCIe connector which i don't think your PSU has and probably doesn't supply enough power also

i know it needs a 6-pin connector and no my PSU won't power a 7770 thats why i asked if a atx psu will fit cause it's a mATX case cause i was going to buy a new psu

Well, does your current psu have a 6-pin power connector? If yes, how many amps does it have on the +12v rail(s)?

400W is plenty enough to run a 7770 (and Ghz ed).

EDIT: I was looking at the manual for it, which wasn't that helpful, but the diagram makes it appear like the psu you have is a regular sized one that is top-mounted. Is this true?

Oh, well if you're getting a case that comes with a 400W PSU, then you should be fine. Just to be safe, how many Amps does that psu have on the +12v rail? You should have at least 19 or 20 Amps on the +12v rail. Also make sure the psu has a 6-pin power connector (or you can use a molex 4-pin to 6-pin connector instead).
