I have 2 hard drives, 1 240GB and a 1 TB. I recently got the 1 terabyte one and I am wondering if I can split the desktop between the two so I do not have to move files but I can just add them.

Is this possible?

Personally, I've avoided that Storage Space thing.
Too much complexity for little real gain.

My system has 6 drives. Up until recently, just 5.
OS and applications on 1, the rest are for specific uses.
Games on 1, photo work on another, video/CAD on another. Etc...

1. Don't save large things to the Desktop.

2. You can create a folder on the larger drive, and a shortcut to that on your "desktop". Save things directly to that.

3. For the Doc/Music/Video/etc Libraries...here:
Win 7 & 8: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1834397/ssd-redirecting-static-files.html
Win 8.1 & 10: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2024314/windows-redirecting-folders-drives.html

(pay attention to which OS, and don't get it wrong. Fixing a mess up is not easy)

Yeah,I was thinking of that. Also, could the Storage Space Pool Thing work? (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12438/windows-10-storage-spaces)
