Can I split the signal?

Hello
I have recently purchased a 720p TV for my bedroom.I would like to watch movies and play some fun layed back games on it.The Problem is My graphics card only has one Hdmi Output and I have my computer hooked up to one 1080p monitor via a Hdmi Cable and another 1600x900 monitor.So The solution that I came up with is use a Hdmi spliter but I thought of a possible problem.If I split the signal at a resolution of 1080p to the monitor and to the tv what would happen.Would it just downscale the image on my tv to 720p or will I have to change the resolution ?

Also my monitor is only Hdmi and Vga

The better solution is to have a graphics card with 2 HDMI outputs.

The alternate would be to plug one of your displays into the on board graphics.

An HDMI splitter is plan C, but both displays will receive the 1080 signal.

if your not using the dvi port they do make dvi to hdmi cables.
