Can i still use dualshock 2 to play games

So i still have my 7 year old ps2 controller and i was just wondering if i can play latest games like fifa 17 with that. I have a xbox 360 controller but the wireless receiver is too expensive for me. I could buy the ps2 usb connector for just 2$. Please answer

For 2 bucks I'd give it a try. Maybe with ScpToolkit if it's compatible (don't know though, I use this program with DS3 with USB cable or via Bluetooth).
