It would make your gameplay experience better and definitely put less stress on the CPU, so yes. Though what truly matters when streaming is your network speed. you will need at least:
  • Full HD Video with a High Framerate (1080p, 60fps) > your bitrate should be 4,500 to 6,000 kbps
  • Full HD with a standard Framerate (1080p, 30fps) > your bitrate should be 3,500 to 5,000 kbps
  • Regular HD with High Framerate (720p, 60fps) > your bitrate should be 3,500 to 5,000 kbps
  • Regular HD with Standard Framerate (720p, 30fps) > your bitrate should be 2,500 to 4,000 kbps
Please note that that's KILOBITS and not kilobytes. big...

If you use h.264 which makes the CPU handle the heavy lifting/video encoding it will definitely work at low res (360 - 720p) but that would not be enjoyable for your viewers. Nonetheless, yes it should work. For bitrate, 5000 is a min data rate you should set it at.

Please note that that's KILOBITS and not kilobytes. big difference. Check your network speed and make sure you have at least 4.5 - 6 Mbps upload speed if you want to stream at 1080p 60FPS.
