Can I swap a new computer (Windows 8) 60gb ssd with my old 120gb (Windows 7) ssd

I have recently bought a new pc which includes a 60gb ssd hard drive with Windows 8 pre installed. I am wondering whether it would be possible to swap this with my Samsung 120gb ssd hard drive which has windows 7 installed? Ideally I would just like to swap the drives and have it run in Windows 7 without needing to reinstall windows. Is this possible?

Licenses, hardware differences, drivers...all come in to play.

With an OEM Windows license, no. An OEM license locks the OS to the motherboard it's installed on. If the Windows licenses are builder versions, then you probably can.
