can i swap dell inspiron 3000 series desktop case to a full tower case?
do i need to change the mother board?

Yes, you would need to change the motherboard as well.

Basically all OEM computers like Dell do not have removable backplates, so the metal I/O bracket that sits at the back of the case cannot be moved from a Dell case to a different one. Not only that, but many Dell cases use a BTX design, so the card slots are on the other side of the CPU (versus an ATX design).
