Can I swap my motherboard over?!

Hello people. Could you help me. Im looking to upgrade my motherboard but I have not got the first clue how to do it.
I currently have a Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2H Intel LGA1150 H81 2xDDR3 2xUSB3.0 6xUSB2.0 GBE LAN DVI HDMI Micro-ATX Motherboard.
Looking to consider a Gigabyte Z97P-D3 Intel LGA1150 Z97 ATX Motherboard 4x DDR3, 4x USB3.0, 10x USB2.0, GBE, LAN, HDMI

What CPU, RAM and expansion cards?

I need this information to verify compatibility before agreeing with your choice or suggesting a different board.

Hi, i7-4790 3.6 Ghz, 16 Gb Ram, not sure on expansion cards? How do I find that info?

Graphics cards, sound cards, anything that uses a PCI or PCIe connector.

Do you have extra space in your case? The board you have now is Micro ATX (226mm x 174mm) while the board you suggested as an upgrade is ATX (305mm x 200mm), which is significantly larger.

The GB Z97 should be fine, if planning to OC the CPU much would go with a little better mobo like the Asus Z97-A

No Z170 chipset here. He's running on LGA 1150.

Thanks guys. I am running a geforce 1070 founders edition. As for for more space in the case im unsure at the moment.
