Can I trust "windows memory diagnostic" ?

I had a trouble figuring out what was the problem with the ram that causing POST failure, eventually, it was solved. After that I ran windows memory diagnostic to see if there is still something wrong, but no errors were found, so... can I trust the results ?

I use and recommend Memtest.

http://www.memtest.org/

Download the ISO image, burn it to a CD/DVD, and then boot from that disk. Run it overnight. Any errors found will be displayed on the screen.

Yes. Windows does not always find the problems. Memtest boots without windows even running, and checks the hardware without any interference.
