[SOLVED] can i turn my GTX 1050 Q-max design temporarily off?

well i want to keep my laptop on for 1 night only my GTX 1050 is very loud. i have in my laptop 1 GTX 1050 and 1 intel UHD graphics 620. can i turn my 1050 off without breaking my pc?

if you don't use it, it shouldn't be on

If something's using the GTX 1050, then you'll have to tell Windows through Settings to prefer using the Intel GPU instead. Otherwise, you may also want to consider making sure your laptop can stay cool, because it'll blow the fans regardless if the GTX 1050 is on or not and the laptop gets hot enough.
