can i upgrade from win. pro to win ultimate with a full version disk

I am buying a new dell XPS and it wil only let me have win pro 64 bit over 8.1 which I don't want I have win ultimate full version can I use it to upgrade .

There is no advantage of Ultimate over Pro, unless you need some obscure language. It does not run applications faster.

If you already have an install disk for Win 7 Ultimate (why??), you can probably install it, wiping out whatever it came with.
But verify that the drivers exist first.
