Hey guys, i'm new to this community.

In early December last year I purchased a HP all in one with:

8 GB RAM
3GHz Intel i3 processor

(You can find it here: http://www8.hp.com/uk/en/products/desktops/product-detail.html?oid=7567759)

.. and now I feel that for the major gaming I do on it, it doesn't pack enough power. I've never upgraded a PC in my life, so could I be able to upgrade the RAM on my PC or processor to make it faster?

Also, how much do you think it would cost me? Under 100 pounds?

Thanks,

Dan

Agreed to above.

1) 8GB is plenty for most people so that's not really an issue.

2) CPU is possibly upgradeable though the CPU COOLING might be problematic.

3) GPU is simply part of the CPU (iGPU). That's crucial for gaming but there's no dedicated graphics card so you're pretty limited.

Other:
Even if you could PHYSICALLY swap to a different CPU the motherboard BIOS would have to support it. I'd be surprised if it had support for quad-core CPU's and again there's the cooling issue.

Long story short it's not really going to be possible.
All-In-One PC's cannot be upgraded at all. They're like laptops.

You'll have to build a new PC if you want to play demanding games.

As the system already comes with 8GB RAM, that is not where the problem lies.

Intel's onboard graphics chip is simply not good enough to run any modern game well.
