Can I upgrade my ASUS laptop CPU?

Hi,
I have an ASUS laptop that is currently supporting an intel core i3 processor, and i was just wondering if it would be possible to upgrade it to a better processor, and if it would actually be worth it for the performance of my laptop. My laptop model is atheros/ar5b125 and is made by ASUS
I would appreciate any answers and also, if anyone could mention, if at all, what the highest processor my laptop could support would be?

Probably the best way to increase performance on a Laptop (not for gaming) is to swap out the HDD for an SSD. No you cannot just replace your laptop processor. Also Chrome OS i very light and very fast for general laptop use.

No. The Intel® Core™ i3 3217U in your laptop is soldered in place with a BGA socket. In general, laptops have a very tight thermal and power envelope so any change to CPU is likely to exceed what the system is designed to handle.
