usually we refer to micro-ATX as u-ATX after the µ-sign which is a common abbreviation for "micro". That disambiguates the type from the less common "mini" prefix. :) (Here endeth the lesson).

All "standard" form factors should be the same. The points of concern is the mounting points and the I/O shield at the rear.

You can find a µ-ATX template online. Print it out and compare with the mounting points on your board and case backplate.

If the I/O shield is removable then that is also not a concern since all motherboards ship with am I/O shield you can snap into the case. . Of not, then compare it with your chosen motherboard to make sure there are openings and cut-outs for the components on the rear I/O.

Already checked the I/O shield and know it is removable and that every motherboard comes with one. My concern was with the mounting points. I will look for the µ-ATX template you mentioned for the mounting concern.

thank you

Doesn't matter now. Just realized I need a motherboard with a mini pcie slot for some connects from the case if I want to continue to use my lenovo case. Will be cheaper and better performance out of just purchasing a new board and case together.

thanks again
