Question Can I upgrade the eMMC on this laptop? Asus Chromebook CB3-532-C42P

Just got this laptop recently. I ordered an 64gb eMMC card because I realized the laptop had 16gb eMMC and it wouldn't be enough to have both chromeOS and Linux on the same chip.

I've been trying to see if I can somehow take off the chip from the motherboard and replace it with the 64gb, but it seems that it's soldered on? I'm not sure if this is even upgrade able.

You wont be able to take it off. It was most likely wave soldered and would require highly specialized tools to even attempt to remove it.

From the images it looks like your only option would be expanded storage via a SD card at best.

On chromebooks main storage expansion is either SDcard or USB flash drive.
