Can I upgrade to 64-bit?

You certainly can Bleach2010. You would need a clean install, so backup your important files first.
You would also benefit from a CPU upgrade if your MB supports it. The Q8300 is a bit long in the tooth now.
Which ASUS MB do you have.?

Just to reiterate, you must perform a complete install of the OS to move from 32-bit to 64-bit.

The processor you're using doesn't really matter. It was just a suggestion to upgrade to newer hardware, but it doesn't impact on your original question. You can run a 64-bit OS on your current system without issue.
