Can i use 1333 MHz ram together with 1600 MHz ram

I have a Dell Vostro 3500 , i was wondering if i could put in a stick of 4 gb 1333 MHz ram together with another stick of 1600 MHz ram , i am aware that the 1600 will clock down to 1333 , but will any compatibility issues arise from doing this

There might be inter-module incompatibility, or there might not be. This is dependent on actual memory module characteristics. Test them together and see if they work or not. But be prepared to try other modules also in order to find a compatible combination of memory modules.

i tried it , works perfectly , after installing them i only needed to hold down the power button for 3 seconds and release it to get it to power up , after that you can power up normally by just tapping the power button
