Can I use 1600MHz RAM with the Pentium G3258?

I'm looking to get a Pentium G3258 but saw it only supports 1333MHz RAM. The RAM that I like and use only comes in 1600MHz, if I do put a 1600MHz RAM on the board, will the CPU just utilize 1333 or will it not work at all and fail to boot or do anything with the RAM?

Also, will the Pentium G3258 deliver better results with overclocking than the Intel i3 - 4160?
My friend also told me that he overclock his NON-k Intel i3 with an H81 Asus motherboard, as far as I know overclocking can only be done with the K Intel processors. Or am I wrong?

Thanks in advance.

You can run the DDR3-1600 at 1333 no problem. You can even tighten the timings up to add performance. Example: DDR3-1333 with 6-6-6-18 1T is going to be faster than...
Yes the Pentium does only support 1333 memory if you used a really fast kit it would just lower speeds down to 1333. The performance between the two isn't worth it and your friend is full of it. When you want to upgrade go to an i5 4440

You can overclock a locked i3 using the base clock, but because it is tied to PCI bus frequency it can't be pushed very far without wreaking havok on storage and peripherals. So usually it's simply not worth the bother.
