Hello ! I am building a new pc and i'm currently waiting for my EK predator 240, as they are releasing a revised version. I was wondering if I could use the stock intel fan from a 4790k while waiting for the AIO? If this is the case, should I turn turboboost off?
All input is appreciated!

The 4790k gets insanely hot, so yes, the cooler would most likely work for the 6700k. Intel has used the same CPU cooler for years and it is terrible, but it works kinda.

As i wrote in the original post; I'm waiting for the Ek Predator 240 to be shipped. I got my PSU and RAM today, so I only lack the cooler for my complete build. I was considering waiting for the cooler to arrive, but it may take a week or two before I get it. I only have a stock intel cooler at hand , hence my post.

I mean if you bought a new 6700k, did you not get a stock cooler with that? Why do you have to use an old stock cooler?

Ah , I understand.
Intel does not supply a cooler with the 6700k, so I have to use my old one.
