Hey, i have a ASUS h61m-e motherboard
my current ram is 4GB DDR3 1333
can i put another 8GB DDR3 1333 ram (total 12gb ram) ?

it work fine ?

i had another 4gb befroe that from another brand, and it works fine on dual channel
so ram size matters on working or no ?

i want to buy a kingstone 8gb 1333 and i have an kingstone 4gb 1333

anyone tested it before ?

It does not matter to me its single or dual channel, because im programming and when i open few programming softwares, my ram gets full and system keeps lagging

So 4gb + 8gb work ?

Mixing RAM at worst (if the computer POSTs anyway) just means:
  • The RAM modules will operate in single channel
  • If they're rated for different speeds, they'll all run at the slowest module's speed, assuming the motherboard is compatible with it.
If your motherboard supports it, the RAM modules may operate in so-called Flex Mode which in this case will run 4+4GB in dual channel, with the remaining 4GB in single channel.

so does Asus H61M-E supports flex mode ?
