I have a radeon 6850, I was hoping to buy a MSI GeForce GTX 1660 VENTUS which is and 8 pin GPU, so I wanted to ask if I can use 8 pin when I currently use 6 pin for my GPU and how do I. Some support would be nice.
Have a good day!

Well, it's not the worst PSU ever. But using adapters, a common source of melting and the occasional fire, with an ancient PSU of mediocre quality at best, is a situation I'd definitely avoid like the plague.

You need to tell us the exact power supply. And just because something claims a certain wattage doesn't mean it's actually that certain wattage or even safe - junk PSU manufacturers are known for just making up things.

So should I just buy a RX 580 or what should I do

Anything that requires an eight-pin connector is inappropriate with this PSU.

If you're unwilling to replace an ancient, fairly low-quality PSU, your best GPU option is a 1650 that doesn't require a supplementary connector, which is still a massive upgrade on a 6850.

Adapters are almost never recommended because of the risks. The rare exception is a very high-quality older PSU and a 2x6 to 8 pin adapter. This isn't the situation here.
