Can i use a 144hz monitor with this laptop?

Laptop specs:
Lenovo Y50-70
i5-4210H
GTX 860M
4k display (48hz)
It has only 1 hdmi port and 3 usb ports. I've read that usb 2.0 supports 144hz but i don't know if this port is even 2.0? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I know I could but will I be able to use 144hz or will it just show 60hz?

I don't think it will :/ You could try putting it into the HDMI port instead, it should work then.
