I am going to buy a new GPU (MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X) and it requires a 8 pin connector and then i wonder if i could use a 8 pin connector to my Cooler Master B500, 500W PSU?
Thanks for your answers :)

Solution
Yes, 6+2 pins are basically an 8pin with the 2 extra pins hanging off so you can use it as both a 6pin and 8pin based on your needs. They are labelled PCIe on the connector end that goes into the graphics card.

How do i find out that it is a PCIe connector? Or could i just buy a connector and use it?

I bought the PSU here https://www.komplett.se/product/777969. And if you read under it, it says 1x 4+4 CPU, 2x 6+2pin PCIe, So i have 2x 6pin and 2pin PCIe which i could put together as a 8pin? Am i right our totally wrong, i dont really know that much about computer parts :)
