This is probably a stupid question but I'm VERY new to pc building. I'm about to build my first pc, if I boot it up with my previous hard drive that has Windows 10 installed what will happen?

Solution
Best case it will work fine. Odds are it will work but you'll spend ten fold more time hunting down and repairing reliability issues than if you had just performed a clean install. Worst case it won't boot.

If your license is an OEM license. You'll also likely need a new license. Only retail licenses can officially transfer. Although some people have success transferring an OEM license. In either case you'll need to link your license to a Microsoft account on the old PC first.
