Hi

I have this server motherboard with processor, Ram, videocard and everything. But I want to ask you guys something. Is there anything different or special about server motherboards? because I would like to use this motherboard for gaming.

The motherboard is a Dual socket 370 and supports 4Gb of Ram. It also has AGP4X and ATA-100.

Thanks and I hope an answer

yeah, it'll work, but not so well, even with a Pentium 3 1.4 and 4 gig of ram you won't be able to play much, and 1.4Ghz P3's are expense and hard to come by. Don't expect to play any modern games. And since it's only 32bit, it's pointless to put 4 gig in anyway. Oh yeah, most games don't support dual procs so it's a waste. I have a dual 1Ghz server that's an exchange server at home, that's about all they are good for anymore.

Dude a p3 1.4 ghz can beat a sempron 2200 and up to an athlon xp 1800 so what the hell are you talking about i have an old celeron 1.4ghz runnin cod2 with my 6800agp 512 mb sdr ram at 40 fps average.

For the guy who says get a 6800...

Im not willing to spend 200$ on a video card for a old but fast system. I think 6600 is ok.

Also...
Pentium 3 at 1.4ghz remember that they have 512kb of L2 cache and only by putting 1Gb of RAM that system would be fast as F***.

Well Im not saying that this system will be the fastest in the world but at least I will be able to do nice things with dual tuallys and then use it maybe as a workstation.

Regards

Fast as f***?

Sh!t, I've stepped into the year 2001!
You are good can you go back and give the young me this message.

Dvd take this and hunt this bastard bin laden down. I can't tell you why but it involves the security of America!

<handing mesa note,pistol,grampa's sniper rifle,and rocket launcher>

Good i hope that i can change the past for the better.

Stick on some scientific software and let it crunch away. Google either BOINC or Folding-at-home and help science the easy way =D

maybe getting the Geforce 7800 GS and 2Gb of Ram would be nice then maybe a SATA2 pci card that would make it 😉

I dont want to spend right now 300 for the 7800GS video card. 200 for the ram and 30 for the sata2 pci card. i might be getting those later. when this things get a little lower in price
