Can I Use AM3+ Processor on RS880M05A1

I have an Acer MBO RS880M05A1 and i have a Phenom II 2 B55 processor. I want to replace that processor with some better. I wold to be FX 8300. Can i do that?

While physically, they fit..... boards released strictly with AM3 may struggle with the power requirements of AM3+ CPUs.

On top of that, OEM boards (like ones from Acer) typically only support the CPUs they were shipped with..... which would be AM3 only.

I'd suspect, in all likelihood, it's a no.
