High speed ram usually comes with high latency. I wonder which is more important or critical in the real world, speed or latency? I found that low latency ram is significant more expensive.
According to this video, ram speed seems to be not important for games but if it is important for other software, such as video editing? Some viewers agree with the ram tests result while others not.
I have no idea if it is good for speed trade-off latency. Therefore, I brought out the question.Noted your determination that low latency ram is significantly more expensive.
However the actual question is high speed vs high latency.
What do you believe is the answer to that question and why?

Based on what you have read and experienced with respect to your own system which (speed or latency) would you believe to be more important?
And there is not necessarily a "right" or "wrong" answer.
I am only pressing the matter because the question seems very much to be a "homework" type question.
Forum rules prohibit doing "homework". Your question may or may not be homework. No way to truly know on this end.
In any case, the key is for you to present what you think is the answer and why.
Present a starting point answer based on your thinking and reasoning.
Another bad test from jaytwocents. He didn't even include the 1% low fps, which is what benefits the most from low latency memory. And he only did the test with an Intel CPU while it's well known that Ryzen CPUs benefit much more from fast RAM than Intel chips.
As with many things, the answer is, "it depends."High speed ram usually comes with high latency. I wonder which is more important or critical in the real world, speed or latency? I found that low latency ram is significant more expensive.
