Can I use an HP z640 PSU in or outside of a different case/computer to save buying a new PSU?

Is there an adapter kit for the wires?

If you need an adapter, don't.

Short answer, no.

Not only is the size of it off standard, it has proprietary connectors that are common to the HP micro verse.
