Can I Use another Brand of Memory

I have a Asrock EP2C602-4L/D16 with 32GB of G.Skill F3-1600C7D-16GTX Memory. I have been told that I can use another brand of memory but it needs to have the same model and speed. That the cas latency would just match the lower cas.

After a lot of searching I came a crossed these (SAMSUNG 32GB 8x4GB 2RX4 DDR3-1600MHZ PC3-12800R ECC Registered Server Memory RAM) Will this work with what I have?

Nobody can say for sure. Mixing or adding memory is hit and miss. Even identical modules purchased at separate times can be incompatible.

Thank you for your quick reply. So I guess it's going to be a trial by error. I guess if it doesn't work I can sell it on ebay again. Again, thanks for the help.

Typically you can check on certain sites for compatibility. Let me know what motherboard you have so I can check for which ram sticks are confirmed to be compatible, and possibly see if the stick you are currently asking for is compatible as well. I can't promise you that it will be compatible, but I can at least see what IS compatible...
