I use a MSI b450 Tomahwak max motherboard which has realtek 892 audio. I want to buy the Audio technica ATH-M50x for casual gaming and music. Do I need a soundcard or dac ? or my mobo audio is enough ?

Solution
your soundchip can easily drive the M50x. The 38Ohm should not be an issue.
that being said the ACL892 is a rather budget-y chip so don't expect fireworks.
but for gaming sound and having spotify open in the background it should be enough.
afterall getting a decent audio setup later on if you feel you need/desire one is always possible
