Can I use DDR4 RAM at 2400Mhz with an i5-7600 (non-k)?

Hello.
I've bought 2x8GB RAM DDR4 (up to 2400Mhz) and I'm trying to know if it's safe and useful to put it at 2400Mhz frequency. At default settings it's at 2133Mhz. My mobo supports 2400Mhz and I can change it anytime in it's bios.

Perfectly fine. The RAM will default to 2133 MHz, but you can run it at its rated speed with settings in BIOS as you surmise. At least in theory you can. My little H110 chipset refuses to allow my RAM to run at anything other than 2133 MHz. Either way, I doubt you'll see any noticeable difference whether the RAM runs at 2133 MHz or 2400 MHz. The slightly slower timings of 2400 MHz negate any real improvement over 2100 MHz RAM.

Thanks for answering man. You're right It won't improve much...
I only asked this question because I've heard someone saying that was not posible/not recommended increasing memory frequencies using Intel non-k CPUs.
