Question Can I use hdmi to vga adapter on my new built pc?

I'm so confused because my monitor only have a vga port and my motherboard have hdmi and dvi-d so I built a fresh new built pc can i use the hdmi to vga converter directly to the motherboard on the first boot up or do i need some kind of driver to make it work

Then if i need drivers how do i update it if the monitor is not working

You dont need any drivers to work, just buy that right converter and it will work without any problems buddy
