Hi,

I'm planning to buy zotac gtx1060 GPU but I've 450w powersupply without 6pin cable, is it safe to use molex to 6pin adapter? I heard that the adapter is getting fire and it ruin Gpu is that true?

All advise are appreciated.

Thanks

Yup, 99 times out of 100, a PSU missing the connector is missing it for a very good reason. To identify if it's that rarity, we'd need to know the exact PSU, but given the odds, I wouldn't be optimistic. A 450W without a six-pin, and it's not simply that you lost a modular cable, will almost universally be a power-supply-shaped object made up of garbage.

My configuration:

Asus prime a320mk
Ryzen 3 1200
2300mhz ram
1tb 7200 barracuda HDD
90mm fan
Acer 22 inch monitor1080p

Is mwe450psu is enough to power rx570 nitro or gtx1060 3gb zotac

  1. If molex is Not ideal why they are producing
  2. What is my computer power consumption of my pc according to the above config.

If you are talking about Cooler Master MWE models, they are average quality for a gaming setup. The 500watt model is actually cheaper https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817171111

Not really a highly recommended model, you can get better quality for another 10-20. This model is $60 after rebate https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438095 This is $55 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139210

Molex connectors are fine for drives, which is what they were made to power, and some older video cards had the molex power plugs on them. You just don't want to use them for modern stuff using adapters.
