Can i use my 4-pin to 6-pin adaptor that came with my Sapphire r7 260x to power my r9 380x?

The r9 380 needs 2 6 pin connectors, i already have one and found an adaptor with my old graphics card, will i be able to use it for the 380?

The adapter is fine, but if your PSU does not have the necessary power connections for R9-380X, chances are it isn't big enough.
