Can I use my ASU RT-N53 for wifi AND print server?

My home wifi uses an ASUS RT-N53, which has 4 LAN ports but no USB port. I would like to connect my printer (HP OfficeJet 6500A) to the router to allow me to print (and hopefully also scan) from all computers that connect to my wifi network.

I have done all of the searching online that I have the patience for, and still not able to find a clear answer as to whether this is possible. If it is then I would like to make it happen. If it just can't be done, i would be happy to just forget about trying any further.

I have an ethernet cable connecting from the printer to the LAN1 port on my router, but the printer doesn't seem to recognize an IP address from the router ("IP Address: Not Applicable"), and the router doesn't show the printers MAC address.

Is it possible to use this router for both my wifi network and to provide access to the printer? What magic step(s) am I missing that would make it happen?

Solution
Yes you can do it.

You need to check your printer manual on how to set up network printing. That printer is made for this.

You may also just have a bad ethernet cable.

You can also just set up the wireless on the printer?
