Question Can I use my GPU's RGB LED header to control my aRGB fans?

May be dumb question, but I am a noob at RGB.
I got gifted some aRGB fans, problem is my MB does not have aRGB.
I noticed however that my GPU has aRGB LED header - I am not sure what it's for exactly, but it looks like it would fit fans' aRGB connectors, also the only piece of information I've found so far is this semi-vague description:

I also asked same question on Reddit, one person told me I absolutely can do that, but I'd rather get 2nd opinion.

On the GPU it looks like this:

The GPU is Sapphire 7800xt.

To be clear, I don't want to control fan speed, just the RGB.

I would say no. First, the connector I can see in the photo is not a "standard" ARGB header - it looks like you need a non-standard cable to plug in there, and that MIGHT have come with the card. But more importantly, the description says its purpose is to allow you to control the ARGB lights in the video card from an external signal source (from a mobo ARGB header). This means it is only an INPUT socket for an external signal set. It does NOT send out signals from the card to any external lights.

Got it. Kinda shame though, even if I wouldn't throw money at such gimmick, I already got RGB fans and GPU and was hoping I could make it work. Unfortunately the MB only has 4 pin JRGB, whatever that is.
