Can I use one of these CPU:s?

I have been looking for a new CPU now for a while and I found some great deals but can I use one of these?

Here are the options:
i7-7800x
i7-8700K
i5-8600K

Its a "Lenovo Skybay" and It has a "Intel H170 (Skylake PCH-H)" chipset

None of those will work in your current motherboard. The best you can get for your current board is a 6700k, possibly a 7700k if Lenovo released a bios update for Kaby lake cpus.

I checked if they have the same socket and they have but can my motherboard still handle kabylake cpu's?
(I'm using a i5-6400 rn)

The bios update if available will be on Lenovos support site. From what I can find the Skybay board is from an all in one system so cooling will be limited so a cpu like a 6700k or 7700k would be ill advised. A 6700 or 7700 non K would likely be the fastest options available but the 7th gen cpus will require a bios update.

Kaby lake usually just requires a bios update. Coffee lake requires a new motherboard. There are reports of Kaby lake working on the Skybay motherboard after a bios update.

Great so two different answers from same forum... doesn't really help.

I normally go straight to source and as I said. I don't see it in patch notes so wouldn't recommend it.

The Op in the thread I posted actually contacted Lenovo. Also when I was looking the latest didn't didn't say anything about Kaby lake but that was likely added in a previous bios version and Lenovo doesn't let you look at previous releases for some reason.

Arad.vithaj whats the model of the all in one you want to upgrade?

This is always Intel, they change their motherboard regularly so you can't use older chips.
The ONLY reason they do this is for profit. Someone hacked one of the BIOS' before and got newer chips working on older motherboards.
Intel is a Professional Scam Artist.
