So, I'm transporting my pc and was wondering if I could use pillows to cushion it? The reason why I'm asking is because of static build up, would it be fine? Thanks for any help given
I have wedged by PC between some blankets and secured it behind the passenger seat be sliding it all the way back so it would not move. I dont see any reason why pillows would cause problems.
When moving and to and from college in a car. I would put it on the foot well of the rear seat and then recline the front seat to pin securely. If worried about heavy graphic cards and heat sinks lay on rear seat and pin with reclined passenger seat. The seat will add suspension for bumps.
If you can lay the computer on its side panel so the video card and cpu cooler are standing upright. this will take any bouncing around and flexing the PCI-e socket and motherboard from the weight of the cooler.
If you have time and want to you can just remove both of them and not have to worry about the extra weight on the motherboard.
