Can I use Q-flash without a cpu?

As the title states, I'm wondering if I can update my bios without having a cpu inserted. I have the Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3, which supports Q-flash. Im going to be dropping in a Ryzen 3 2200g, but I forgot to ask the seller to update the bios before shipping. Is it possible to update the bios without having a compatible cpu?

Nope. Needs the brains. Might have to ship it back for the seller to update the BIOS if it is too old to recognize the APU. Or just try your luck with it as is. Might not need a BIOS update just to "recognize" the APU. If you can get into BIOS, then you can update yourself.

If you get a hold of AMD they will send you a loan CPU so you can get the BIOS update done if you get stuck in the position where your 2200G doesn't work and you can't perform the BIOS update. With no CPU you literally cannot do anything.
