requires a second PCIe full sized slot on the motherboard.
insert card into the secondary slot, connect power if needed.
attach monitor to card
power system.
install drivers after windows boots. download and install the driver only pack to minimize conflicts with the nvidia software.
OR
the 970 is equipped with DVI-I ports, DVI-Integrated aka analog and digital. you can get one of these and adapt the DVI to a VGA and leave the second card out.
