Hello my friends.
I have problem with slot 2.
The slot 2 of my motherboard doesn't recognize my ram and windows doesn't boot only the black screen show and nothing is happen.
The slot 3 and 4 work and recognized both ram together and work well.
The slot 1 a little covered with cpu AIO. For this reason i cant use slot 1.
If I put rams in slot 3 and 4. Dose it effects in the performance?
My ram is g skill Trident z 32gb 3200hz 2x16
My motherboard Asus rog strix z590-f wifi gaming
my cpu is core i7 11700k

Solution
I would run memtest on each stick of ram to make sure there are no errors. Or pull the cpu and check for bent pins, normally slot 2 is the primary slot for the first stick of ram, if there is something wrong there i would stat questioning the board, ram, or cpu socket.

Yes you can run the ram that way but it will only run in single channel instead of dual channel, single channel will be a performance loss.

If you can i would remount the AIO to uncover slot 1 and try running a 1&3 combo to at least gain dual channel.
