Im about to build my pc tonight and i have a question, so basically i want to use the HDD Led instead of the powerled. Will it work if i put the power LED front panel connector into the HDD Led connector/port(JFP1) in my motherboard?

I don't see why it wouldn't, all you can do is try it out. Usually they're just a 2 wire pos/neg lead for either light, the lights are the same just different colors typically. Looking at the lights like dummy's (they don't know what's giving them signal), the power given off the motherboard should be the same either way. Just a matter of the signal (solid power for power led, alternating power to cause blinking for hdd activity) being different that's all.
