I'm a new member here and have been away from computers for a couple of years
so, I'm Building a new Gaming Pc for Christmas

and I have been ordering parts from Amazon I ordered the ASRock X870 Steel Legend WiFi 7
also ordered the P310 Gen4 NVMe 2280 M.2 SSD from crucial

But it looks tiny compared to all other SSD M.2 I have seen in the past.

My Question is
Can I use the P310 2280 with ASRock X870 Steel Legend WiFi 7?

Thank you

NVME M2 drives comes in various sizes and 2280 is just one of them. All motherboards are manufactured keeping compatibility in mind.

X370 Steel Legend storage specs...
https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X870 Steel Legend WiFi/index.asp#Specification
CPU:
- 1 x Blazing M.2 Socket (M2_1, Key M), supports type 2280 PCIe Gen5x4 (128 Gb/s) mode*
Chipset:
- 1 x Hyper M.2 Socket (M2_2, Key M), supports type 2230/2260/2280 PCIe Gen4x4 (64 Gb/s) mode*
- 1 x Hyper M.2 Socket (M2_3, Key M), supports type 2260/2280 PCIe Gen4x4 (64 Gb/s) mode*
ASMedia ASM1061:
- 4 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s Connectors

As you can see, all of your slots are compatible as per manufacturer specs.
Should be fine.

Thank you so much

The Problem is I'm still waiting for Amazon to ship the MOBO
if it were here, I would have tried it

Your reply makes me feel better knowing it will work
I just never seen an M.2 this small before :)
