Question Can I use the split-end of a PCIe cable to power an 8 pin GPU?

Solution
Usually the first connector is rated for higher current because the wires are thicker and the connector is a HCS type. So it's better to use the first connector on the cable than the daisy chained connector.
Where is the picture of this cable and what is your skill with a soldering iron (and the various other required tools)?
I intended to use only the 6 + 2 split-end to power an 8-pin GPU, as that would make cable management slightly more convenient in my specific case.

I was wondering if using the split-end connector would be any different from using the other 6 + 2 connector on that cable.

I’m sorry for not providing enough information in the initial post.

I decided to use the first connector on the cable. It looks slightly offputting to have the split-end connector occupying space inside the case, but it’s not that big of a deal.

Thank you for your input.
