Can I use this 1GB of RAM in my gaming rig?

I have 8GB of G.SKILL 1600 RAM but one of my sticks recently died. I am sending the sticks back to G.SKILL to get some new ones but I want to use my PC still. I have two old 512MB PCI2100 sticks of ram but I don't know if my OS (Windows 10) will support that. Can I use some kind of virtual ram on my samsung 850 evo ssd with my 1GB of ram?

Please reply! I am sending the two sticks in today!

If the old memory is DDR3 I don't see why not, and in that case you may as well try it. Otherwise, it won't work. Trying to use anything other than DDR3 would be like trying to fit a PCI card into a PCIe slot, it just won't work.

No PC2100 is back to the original DDR, prior to DDR2
