Update: I think I found a solution to my problem: According to https://us.msi.com/support/technical_details/MB_BIOS_Update, I need to have a USB flash drive capacity of 32GB or below.

Greetings community:)

I am trying to update my BIOS (again) and have a question concerning what USB to use. I have already used a program called Rufus on a 64GB 3.2 stick to format in FAT32, but BIOS could not find the extracted file. So before I go in about to buy this one: Verbatim Pinstriske USB 2.0 32GB, I am wondering if that USB should do the trick. My motherboard is MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS if that helps.

Why rufus?
Just use fat32 format.
Any drive should be visible as long as it is correctly formatted into fat32.
You do have to uncompress the bios if it is in zip format for the bios to recognize it as a bios file.

I used Rufus because my 64GB stick didn't have the FAT32 option and I didn't want to spend time formatting in PowerShell/Command as I have seen that was a possibility, but as a slower way. I did extract the file from the zipped folder, but my BIOS did not see any files in flash mode. I have also called the company I bought the PC at and support also told me I can use any USB, so call me confused, because this is not the first time I have tried either. This is the video I follow when I do try to flash:

32Gb limit is because that's haw large FAT32 partition limit. You can manually partition any USB to as low as 100 MB, format that partition to Fat32 and put the BIOS file in it.
