If the notebook is on a wireless network and if the printer has wireless capabilities then you should be able to print wirelessly.

The notebook would need to have the applicable Canon printer drivers installed.

The printer would need to be configured to join the wireless network serving the notebook. Assign a static IP outside of the available DHCP range used by your router. Same subnet mask.

The printer's User Guide/Manual should provide the necessary configuration process and details. Setup most likely through the printer display screens and menus.

Then the notebook would need to be configured to use the wireless printer as its default printer.
